Remote Package Execution

Today we’re super excited to release our new “Packages” feature. Packages allow you to execute almost anything on remote computers, and optionally capture the output.

Have a maintenance task or fix you commonly run on computers? Set it up as a package! If you can fire it from the command line, you can use it in a package.

Packages can be executed in a few clicks, without needing to log into the remote computer. Not only is this a time saver, but it also means you don’t need to interrupt the remote user. If this is a commonly performed task, think about how much time that really adds up to.

The possibilities are endless, but here are a few scenarios where packages could be helpful:

  • Silent software installation or update (performed in video above)
  • System or software configuration change
  • Diagnostic utility execution

Check out the video for a quick walk-through on how to set up and execute a package, as well as view the output.
